a writer's journey...
A desire to write for publication surfaced in high school when, as a senior, she became the editor of her school news paper. The same year she landed a job writing for a local newspaper before moving on to college.
After receiving degrees in English and Speech Communication from Southeast Missouri State University, Fisher taught in Missouri and Illinois public schools and served as an adjunct faculty member for Southeast Missouri State University and for Three Rivers Community College.
A year before retiring, she received her first book contract with McFarland Publishers. When school ended that year, she stepped immediately into a new career as a full time freelance writer.
