Carol Fisher's writing often reflects her long time interests in gardening, cooking, food history, and cookbook history. Not limited to these subjects, she writes articles on a variety of subjects. She enjoys writing essays, features, and profiles that introduce her readers to people, places, times, and events...current and historical.
Her book length writing projects have focused on cookbook history and food history. These writing projects have taken her along the American cookbook trail from coast to coast and on the military food trail from the Revolutionary War to present military food practices. One of her books found her specifically sharing Missouri's cookbook heritage.
She continues to work on nonfiction book length projects. Two of her books are co-authored with her writing partner and husband John C. Fisher. She is currently working on book number four.
